
Charlie Day’s upcoming horror comedy Kill Me has officially wrapped production, and with it comes a final cast announcement. Joining Day in this darkly comedic mystery are Giancarlo Esposito, Aya Cash, and Jessica Harper, rounding out an already stellar lineup that includes Allison Williams.
Kill Me follows Jimmy (Day), who wakes up in a bathtub after what appears to be a suicide attempt—except he doesn’t believe that’s the case. With suspicion creeping in, Jimmy sets out to prove his theory, enlisting the help of a friend and Margot (Williams), the 911 operator who took his call. As he unravels the mystery, the line between reality and paranoia blurs in this unique blend of humor and suspense.
Filmed in Utah, Kill Me is produced by XYZ Films and promises to be a gripping, hilarious, and thought-provoking ride. Keep an eye out for more updates as this twisted mystery unfolds.
Giancarlo Esposito, Aya Cash and Jessica Harper have joined the cast alongside Charlie Day and Allison Williams in the comedic thriller KILL ME, directed and written by Peter Warren (The Auteur). The film is produced by XYZ Films, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg for Dark Horse Entertainment, Charlie Day and Peter Warren. Natalie Metzger of Vanishing Angle is also producing. KILL ME is financed by XYZ Films with funding from IPR.VC and Rabbits Black. The film just wrapped principal photography in Utah.
In the film Jimmy (Charlie Day) wakes up in a bathtub after having tried to kill himself. Or, at least, that's what it looks like to his friends and family. Jimmy is pretty sure he didn't do it...Maybe. Esposito is a Critics Choice Award winning actor best known for roles in the feature films such as Do the Right Thing, The Usual Suspects, MaXXXine and Megalopolis, and for roles in the series Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian and The Boys. He was most recently seen in Captain America: Brave New World which reached #1 at the box office worldwide. He will star in two prestige projects for Netflix this Spring: the Russo Brothers’ film The Electric State alongside Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, and Ke Huy Quan, as well as Shonda Rhimes’ The Residence with Uzo Abuda, Randall Park, and Susan Kelechi Watson.
Aya Cash is best known for her roles in the series The Boys, The Franchise, Fosse/Verdon and You’re the Worst. She will next be seen in the feature drama Reykjavik and the upcoming The Boys prequel series, Vought Rising.
Jessica Harper is best known for roles in Minority Report, Suspiria, Phantom of the Paradise and most recently in Memory and Nightbitch.
