Netflix’s Devil May Cry Slashes Its Way to the Top — Season 2 Confirmed

After just three days on the platform, Netflix’s animated adaptation of Devil May Cry has racked up 5.3 million views and landed at #4 on the global Top 10 list. The show, based on the iconic Capcom/PlayStation game, also holds a fiery 95% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes — and today, Netflix officially announced Season 2 is on the way.
Fans of Dante’s demon-slaying chaos will be happy to know the best is yet to come. Animated by Studio Mir and helmed by showrunner Adi Shankar, the series combines slick visuals, frenzied combat, and a pulsing soundtrack that feels ripped straight from a PlayStation startup screen. (Limp Bizkit, though? That choice has the fandom divided.)
Season 1 introduced us to Dante, the orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire unknowingly carrying the fate of two worlds on his back. As the gates between realms begin to splinter, expect more monstrous showdowns, devilish surprises, and hopefully some deep-cut lore from the beloved game series.
