One of the standout films from last year’s UK festival circuit, Elric Kane’s The Dead Thing, has been acquired by Shudder and will premiere on the platform February 14th.
The stylish thriller follows Alex, whose life is spiraling in the chaotic world of modern dating. After a passionate night with Kyle, he mysteriously disappears the next day. When Alex tracks him down, things take a dark and unpredictable turn, spiraling into an eccentric and gripping tale.

Alex is trapped in a downward spiral of shallow hookups and tepid connections, but she is caught off guard when her dating app swipes lead her into the arms of a mysterious, charming young man Kyle. Through her investigation, she reconnects with Kyle, but also digs up a ghastly supernatural secret.
