Monroe Cline faces the storm in When It Rains in LA.

There’s something different in the air when it rains in Los Angeles. For most, it’s just an umbrella or two, but in David M. Parks’ latest feature, When It Rains in LA, the storm brings something far darker—death.

The thriller stars Monroe Cline (Skincare) as Sasha, a beautiful young Eastern European woman seeking refuge in LA after the sudden and mysterious death of her older boyfriend (played by Eric Roberts, The Dark Knight). Hoping for a fresh start, Sasha reconnects with old friends in the city, leaving behind the horror and trauma of her past.

But as the rain begins to fall, Sasha’s escape turns sinister. Unsettling events unravel around her, and an enigmatic woman emerges from the shadows. What begins as a search for solace becomes a reckoning as Sasha is forced to confront the dark secrets she buried—and the chilling truths she can no longer deny.

Featuring a strong supporting cast, including Leslie Stratton (Asking for It), Mike Ferguson (V/H/S/Beyond), and Eric Roberts, When It Rains in LA promises an eerie, atmospheric plunge into grief, guilt, and the mysteries hidden within the storm.
