🐺 FIRST MOON Delivers a Cult-Soaked Werewolf Horror Just in Time for a Full Moon Rising

On Digital and On Demand May 6

When it comes to lycanthropic lore, most films give us fangs, howls, and transformations under the silver moon—but First Moon has a different beast in mind.

From writer-director Peter McLeod comes a raw, cult-tinged descent into body horror and religious extremism. First Moon stars Lauren Esposito (The Conjuring 2) as a young woman trapped between humanity and monstrosity after a bite gone wrong—and the self-appointed holy men determined to “cleanse” her soul by any means necessary.

Whether that means salvation or slaughter is a matter of faith… and time.

Anchored by Esposito’s sharp, unrelenting performance, First Moon blends creature horror with cult cinema, plunging viewers into an isolated nightmare where your captors truly believe they’re saving you. But the real hook? The practical werewolf FX—courtesy of Emmy Award-winner Thomas E. Surprenant, whose work on Buffy, Halloween H20, and The Grinch built some of the most iconic faces of genre.

Also starring Julian Curtis and Shannon Ryan, First Moon keeps its foot on the gas as it barrels toward an inevitable full moon transformation. With cult fanatics closing in and time running out, the question isn’t whether the monster will emerge…

It’s what she’ll do once it does.

🩸 FIRST MOON hits Digital and On Demand May 6.

📖 Watch it with the lights low and the volume up. The gospel never sounded so sharp.
