For the past 15 years, Fons PR has been the driving force behind some of the most talked-about films, festivals, and entertainment events. Known for their expertise in national, digital, and corporate PR, they have helped shape the success of major studios, independent films, and high-profile film festivals. Whether it’s crafting dynamic campaigns, coordinating red carpet events, or executing immersive influencer activations, Fons PR continues to redefine what it means to be a trusted and innovative PR partner in the industry.
At HMU, we’ve had the privilege of working with Fons PR for over seven years, first through Drafthouse Films and Fantastic Fest, and that relationship has only grown stronger. Their deep understanding of film journalism and their seamless coordination with press have made covering festivals and new releases a far smoother experience. From horror to arthouse to blockbuster premieres, Fons PR has consistently been at the forefront of industry-shaping campaigns that bring films to eager audiences.
To celebrate their 15-year anniversary, Fons PR has announced the well-deserved promotions of Brad Johnson and Christine Lemchi to Senior Vice Presidents. Brad, who has been with the company for nearly 13 years, has played a crucial role in managing corporate and film PR campaigns for clients including Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Fantastic Fest, SXSW, IFC, Mubi, WellGo USA, Welcome Villain Films, and XYZ Films. His work extends to handling regional PR for major studios such as Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures, and A24, further establishing Fons PR as a key player in both the independent and major studio landscape. Christine, who has been with the agency for a decade, has been instrumental in leading digital and national PR campaigns for companies like A24, Amazon MGM Studios, Brainstorm Media, Bleecker Street, and IFC. Her work on high-profile launches at SXSW, Tribeca Film Festival, and Fantastic Fest has helped solidify Fons PR’s reputation as one of the most trusted agencies in the business.

Since its founding in 2010 by Ryan and Brandy Fons, the agency has worked across the entertainment industry, growing from a boutique operation into a go-to PR firm for major film distributors, film production companies, and genre-defining festivals. Over the years, Fons PR has handled corporate PR for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, helped launch distribution companies like Drafthouse Films and Welcome Villain Films, and overseen press campaigns for acclaimed and award-winning films like The Zone of Interest, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Whale, The Substance, and In a Violent Nature. Their ability to blend traditional PR strategies with cutting-edge digital and influencer marketing has led to unique activations like the Barbie Pool Party at Soho House Austin, an immersive Asteroid City pop-up at Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn, and a Rolling Roadshow outdoor screening of Nope at Sunset Ranch in the Hollywood Hills.
SXSW is always a massive undertaking for the Fons PR team, and this year was no different. Their red carpet team completed 30 red carpets and photo calls in just seven days, while their film team represented nine projects from studios such as A24, Neon, IFC, and Roadside Attractions. They also partnered with Soho House for a special event celebrating International Women’s Day, reinforcing their commitment to curating meaningful and impactful industry moments.
As Fons PR enters its next chapter, the agency continues to push the boundaries of what PR can be in the entertainment space. With their dedication to innovative storytelling, strategic digital campaigns, and strong media relationships, they remain a key force in shaping the industry. HMU wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the hard work of teams like Fons PR, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support from Brad, Ryan, Brandy, Rosa, Christine, Kennedy, Danielle, and the entire team. Here’s to 15 years of incredible work and many more to come!
