One of history’s most infamous exorcisms may be found in the Bible itself—the Miracle of the Gerasene Swine, performed by Jesus Christ. Though well-known, this biblical tale has never been the focus of a horror film—until now. Enter Unholy Song, the latest feature from Arthur G. Night, a modern-day reimagining of this legendary exorcism, bringing supernatural terror to Northern California.
The film follows an obsessed landlord who comes into possession of a demonic audio tape, a force his unsuspecting tenants unknowingly unleash. As chaos unfolds, they must rely on their own wits and the expertise of Father Bernard to cast the spirits back into their original vessel—an unholy relic tied to the bones of swine.
Unholy Song made its mark last month at the LA Punk Film Festival, where it took home the award for Best Horror Feature. The film stars Jessica Chaves, Chris Orozco, Sean Gestl, Quint Gabriel, and features Eric Parkinson as Father Bernard.
With its unique take on possession, religious horror, and sonic terror, Unholy Song promises to deliver a fresh and chilling spin on exorcism lore. Look out out for this one if its playing near you!
