Netflix has just dropped the mid-season trailer for Sakamoto Days, with Part 2 set to premiere this July. Once feared as one of the world’s deadliest assassins, Taro Sakamoto has traded his violent past for a quiet life as a family man—at least, most of the time. While he does everything he can to keep his wife in the dark about his former life, new threats are looming, and it’s only a matter of time before his past catches up with him. With enemies closing in, Sakamoto must rely on the help of Shin and Lu to protect his family, but even with their support, the fight ahead may prove more dangerous than ever.
The returning voice cast includes Matthew Mercer as Taro Sakamoto, Dallas Liu as Shin Asakura, Rosalie Chiang as Lu Shaotang, and Rosie Okumura as Aoi Sakamoto, along with Xolo Maridueña, Aleks Le, WWE superstar Lexi Cabrera (Alexa Bliss), SungWon Cho, Du-Shaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall, and Toru Uchikado. The series, based on the hit Shonen Jump manga written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, follows Sakamoto as he struggles to leave his assassin past behind. But in a world where killers lurk around every corner, he finds himself drawn back into the fight. With the powerful “Order” unit of the Japanese Association of Assassins (JAA) and the mysterious force known as X (Slur) targeting assassins everywhere, the battle for survival is just beginning.
Bringing together over-the-top action, brutal fights, and plenty of humor, Sakamoto Days continues to carve out its place as one of the most exciting anime adaptations of the year.
