As November winds down and holiday preparations begin, Shudder has revealed its December programming lineup, packed with holiday-themed horror offerings to keep you entertained as the temperatures drop.
One of the month’s highlights is Last Straw, a tense thriller from Allen Scott Neal. Starring Jessica Belkin, the film follows a young waitress working the last shift at her diner, only to discover she’s not alone. Last Straw has already wowed audiences at festivals like Beyond Fest and Sitges, and it will stream on Shudder starting December 20.
Shudder also debuts The Haunted Season, a new series created by Severin Films and Kier-La Janisse. Reviving the tradition of telling ghost stories at Christmas, the series will feature new episodes every December. The first episode, To Fire You Come at Last, directed by Sean Hogan, is set in rural 17th-century England and follows a group of coffin bearers on a haunting journey.
For longtime fans, Joe Bob Briggs delivers two gifts this holiday season: Joe Bob’s Christmas Carnage, a live event packed with festive frights, and Just Joe Bob, a new review-driven show.
