Something’s Not Right at the Seaside Home in Stevan Mena’s The Ruse

In The Ruse, the new supernatural thriller from writer-director Stevan Mena, we follow Dale (Madelyn Dundon), an in-home caregiver sent to a remote seaside home after her predecessor mysteriously vanishes. What starts as a routine assignment quickly spirals into something far more sinister. Dale finds herself battling an unruly patient, suspicious neighbors, and a growing supernatural presence that seems to haunt every corner of the house.
Is the home cursed? Or is something even darker lurking beneath the surface?
Starring Dundon and horror legend Veronica Cartwright (Alien, The Witches of Eastwick), The Ruse hits theaters nationwide on May 16. Check out the newly released trailer and poster below—and let us know in the comments if The Ruse is on your radar.
