A moment of sonic fusion and cultural force is finally going global. Breaking Glass Pictures has officially announced the worldwide digital release of A Wu-Tang Experience: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, available May 6, 2025. Directed by the Clan’s own RZA alongside Gerald K. Barclay (Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan), the documentary immortalizes the group’s jaw-dropping 2021 performance at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, backed by the 60-piece Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

It’s not just a concert—it’s a movement.

More than a filmed show, A Wu-Tang Experience bridges generations and genres, blending classic tracks like “C.R.E.A.M.” and “Protect Ya Neck” with orchestral grandeur. It’s a cultural elevation of hip-hop’s poetry, history, and revolutionary energy—performed at altitude, no less. The film also includes a live-score screening of the legendary kung fu film The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, further cementing Wu-Tang’s cinematic roots and martial arts mythology.

“This film is more than just a concert—it’s a cultural event,” said Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures. “Wu-Tang Clan’s ability to push creative boundaries and speak to generations is unmatched. Fans old and new will witness a moment in music history like never before.”

For longtime Wu devotees, there’s also a treasure trove of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, raw backstage moments, and deep-dive interviews with the Clan, classical musicians, and cultural historians exploring hip-hop’s long-overdue seat at the high art table.

Co-director Gerald K. Barclay added, “Rich and the Breaking Glass team believe in culturally significant stories. Wu-Tang’s global impact needed a platform that reflects that energy, and this documentary captures a once-in-a-lifetime performance.”

Previously aired in a limited broadcast run on PBS in 2024 with a special screening at Lincoln Center, A Wu-Tang Experience is finally getting the global platform it deserves. Whether you’re a die-hard disciple of the 36 Chambers or discovering the Clan’s legacy for the first time, this one is unmissable.

🎬 A Wu-Tang Experience: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre drops worldwide May 6 on digital platforms.
